This film was an exciting and emotional film. I enjoyed it very much. I felt the excitement as " Fuser was getting ready for his trip. I laughed about the many times they crashed. I felt the pain and sorrow of the people being forced from their homes, the sadness of the sick and the isolated.
I can see many scenes throughout the film that could have plaid the role of influence to encourage Ernesto to become a rebel for Peru. The way the poor were treated by the land owners and the Government backing them. Putting them out with no place to go, no money, no food, sleeping on the side of the roads.
Ernesto and Alberto were out for an adventure, to tour there home land. What started as an adventure became a life changing experience for the both of them.
Ernesto started out being the shy, quiet one with not much to say. Seem to be the follower. Ernesto had allot of family support. Good family values. Ernesto also had a good education; studding to become a doctor of medicines.
Alberto seem to be the more adventurist kind. Out spoken, load and fun loving. Alberto seem to have a very deep Passion for his bike. Seem to not have anyone else in his life except for his friends.
The men's adventure was long and hard. The struggles they encountered were more then I felt the two expected. The fun they had I felt help to build a much deeper bond between them. The sick people they seen and tried to help along the way helped to build the caricature of the men. They truly wanted to help others and to make a difference in others lives they met.
In the beginning it was all about the fun they could have, but by the time they arrived at the Inca tribe I think the way they seen life had changed.
Ernesto was a very honest person unable to lie. On the opposite side Alberto was a "jokester" could bluff his way out of every situation. The differences in the two made them a good team, for the film and for real life.
